I've posted here about our friend Vic's troubles which have led to him having to step down from his drumming duties with Two Ton Anvil. We've had some commitments that we do everything possible to fulfill, but it's getting tough to do without a solid drummer behind us, but Vic is soldiering on and helping us through those challenges at least until either our or his situation gets better. It really is people like Vic Pedraza that make this whole "band thing" enjoyable and worth the sacrifices and efforts we make, so I simply want to say 'Thank You brother'. We're honored to share the stage with you! -Reed |

Just thought I'd share this event with those that follow this blog.
Two Ton Anvil has an opportunity to compete in an event called the Hard Rock Rising Local Challenge (sponsored by the Hard Rock Cafe). The winner of this local portion, would then go on to compete in the Global Battle of the Bands against 95 other bands from around the world for some very cool prizes. It would mean the world to us to have your support and vote by downloading our song BALLBREAKER from the link below. A download equals a vote. Thank you very much for your support. -Reed Here's the link: http://www.reverbnation.com/contests/1456/artist/553241 then click "download" to vote for Two Ton Anvil! Well, I was afraid this was going to happen and it unfortunately did.
Our friend and new drummer Vic Pedraza, has been battling some health issues as I have briefly shared with you here. The situation is getting pretty difficult for him so in order to get the help he needs at this point, Vic has decided to step aside from his commitment to Two Ton Anvil. As he said to us, it's just not going to be fair or possible to deal with this [pain] and shuffle a full-time band + a side project in his current condition. So Vic's short run with Two Ton Anvil comes to an end. We wish him the best and at the same time wish we could do something -anything- to help him to make it through this thing. He'll always be a friend to the band and we will keep communicating with him. In the meantime, we are going to be looking for a new drummer. Know anyone? Can you play? -Reed Wow, what a week it's been!
Happy to tell you that we've been getting some great shows booked both short and long term. Some of those include festivals which is waay cool and I'm so looking forward to passing that info on to you once everything is set in stone so to speak. As they say, whenever something good happens, something not-so-cool lurks in the shadows. Our friend and drummer Vulgar Vic has been having some health issues that are really making things difficult for him. I feel so bad for the guy and we're trying everything we can to help him with it. Any "crossing of fingers", prayers and/or positive vibes you can send his way are most definitely appreciated. He's such a cool guy and I just hate seeing him go through that. So we're "soldiering" on and our new website is going to be KIIIIIILLER! I can't wait to unveil that and share that with you all. Hope you all have a great week. Stay metal! -Reed Today I met with Mario, our media/photographer/marketing guru and we were discussing plans for the new year. We had briefly talked about this before but never made an actual plan to actually move forward with it, but I can tell you that we will COMPLETELY re-design and overhaul the current website.
After looking at the initial drafts I'm pretty excited about it and I'm sure you will all like it. This blog will be a permanent part of that and come to think of it, all of this will be "old news" by the time you read it since it'll be on the new site. Oh well, Ha! I just wanted to throw this out there and let you know. Have a great weekend! Stay metal. -Reed Happy New Year and welcome to our TTA Blog. Hope 2013 and the celebrations welcoming it have not been too rough on you. It's been alright for me and one of the things I had been thinking about and was actually advised it would be a cool idea was to keep a blog. I suppose it is sort of a manly way of keeping a diary,-I don't know. Ha! Take this a behind-the-scenes look at what makes this Two Ton Anvil machine tic. I will probably not write every single day, but will make an effort to make this interesting for those of you who stop by to check out the website. The year is starting off pretty well so far. As most of you know, we added a new member to the lineup. Vic is one crazy dude and I'm pumped about what lays ahead with him. We did a couple of break-the-ice type shows in December and they went relatively well. We've got some bugs that still need tweaking, but I'm fairly pleased with things so far. I hope it stays that way -knock on wood!
That's all I've got for now. Talk to you all later. Stay metal! -Reed |
