DAVE JANUSZ
Born a Chicago native, Dave picked up the guitar at age 15 and quickly accelerated his abilities to earn a position in his first band at age 17 (unknown as he was FAR superior to the other garage players). First song Dave mastered was "Hall of the Mountain King" by Savatage. Not surprising as his biggest influences then were Chris Oliva and Alex Skolnick... By age 18 Dave was asked to join his favorite local Chicago thrash metal band SALENT. That band made a major mark on the evolving original Chicago metal scene. The success inspired Dave to heavier and more diverse metal music such as: DEATH (Chuck Shuldiner, James Murphy), KREATOR, & MINISTRY. Dave became even more diverse and adept to his musical talents and influences accepting more than just metal with the thought provoking and interesting music stylings of SRV and Henry Garza. Dave became uninterested in what the Chicago scene was becoming and decided it was time for a break to explore other possibilities. The time had come to explore his own adaptation of songwriting and music. After some broken bones and healing time Dave stumbled upon TWO TON ANVIL through mutual friends. They started talking, they started collaborating, they started making the new chapter of the best music TWO TON ANVIL was going to make, Right dudes, right time. Right now. Nailed it! |
