PAUL O'NEAL

Paul got his first drum set at age 6 destroying it imitating "Animal" from the Muppets. He was classically trained with privatre percussion lessons by James Robel (Buddy Rich student, ex Cannibal Corpse/Broken Hope). He played his first show actually as a punk metal singer at age 15. That show was halted in the middle oif the performance due excessive use of profanity inciting the crowd into a violent frenzy. That band broke up shortly after that after Paul kicked the guitarist out of his car on the way to a radio interview.

He started underground death metal/hardcore band AUGMENTATION which after release of "The Dead" hit #1 on self produced albums in Chicago and stayed there for 6 months which led to an unfulfilled recording contract by Metal Blade Records.

He then joined the USMC honorably discharged after 4 years active duty to return to Chicago to his wife and kids. His attempts  to reboot the success of previous projects was sadly halted by the suicide of guitarist and long time collaborator. His band SYSTEMS REBORN (JBird Records) got him back onstage with legendary local acts like LUNGBRUSH & DISTURBED.

Paul reunited with surviving members of AUGMENTATION re-recording THE DEAD with a bonus track he wrote to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention. Their slogan at the show they played: was "Suicide's for pussies but most people who commit it aren't."

After multiple injuries and frustration of repeated failed projects, Paul took some time off to heal and rehab his wrists which deteriorated due to excessive scar tissue. He then came upon the scene again only to play in cover bands Three Hole Punch and Anewellusion before being rescued by the ad Reed put in Craigslist looking for a uniquely talented drummer..
